Hi, I’m April.

I am a registered dietitian that empowers busy females to regain control of their health, create sustainable change and ditch the yo-yo dieting.

Before I was a registered dietitian, I was in the same boat as you.

I was constantly struggling with my body and my relationship with food. I was continually feeling stressed and guilty for eating “bad” foods and often lost control around those same foods. I found myself stuck in the restrict and overeat cycle.

Come Monday morning I would tell myself “The diet starts now!” or “I am going to be SO GOOD this week.”

But by the weekend I would find myself overeating, feeling stuffed and bloated, stressed out and ridden with anxiety and guilt. And the cycle continued Monday morning.

I was constantly struggling with my body and my relationship with food. I was continually feeling stressed and guilty for eating “bad” foods and often lost control around those same foods. I found myself stuck in the restrict and overeat cycle.

All I wanted was to feel free. To NOT be constantly thinking about food and about what I was going to eat (or not eating…or try not to eat). It consumed my time and my emotional energy. I felt STUCK because nothing worked.

As I spent the next many years studying to become a dietitian I was able to slowly bring myself out of this place.

I learned about the science behind nutrition and I learned about food freedom. I developed a healthy relationship with food and I was able to pull myself out of the restrict and overeat cycle.

I learned that the feeling of food freedom is truly unmatched. And that being able to eat the foods I love while still fueling myself properly to reach my health goals is an irreplaceable feeling.

Having gone through this experience - it left me wanting to spread this positivity and to help others.
